T-Swift

OK .... Yes we bought tickets around 6 MONTHS ago!! But the day FINALLY came. The...
TAYLOR SWIFT CONCERT
It was truly magical
Beth, Katelyn, Megs, Emilee and I got our cowboy boots and jeans on and head out for a much needed GirlsNight Out
We ate dinner at Thiafoon
(incredible and fast)

Then we walked right on over to the ESA right at 7
Unfortunately our seats were split up, So Emilee and I sat with each other while Beth, Katelyn and Megs sat together.
The opening band was... lets be honest I couldn't have cared less about them

Then the main event came
She opened with Sparks Fly, followed closely by The Story of Us
(just two of my favorite songs)
And I was an emotional wreck
Yes I cried.. It was a flash back to my inner tween.
I'm over it!
The rest of the concert was just as amazing!
There were fireworks, ballerina numbers, lots of acapella numbers, she covered Animal by Neon Trees,
and to end the show she flew over the lower bowl in what looked like a balcony,
while singing Love Story and at the end of the song gold confetti went flying

She then came on for her encore and played Ours!
where Beth and Meg lost it and started crying.. Judge
Taylor is an amazing entertainer and truly genuine
This was 2 1/2 hours an sheer bliss!

Thank you Beth for getting the tickets 6 months ago
and Thank you Landon for driving us to and from the concert

What a fantastic GirlsNight to remember!

The Vampire Diaries

Ok everyone here is the deal Katelyn has been trying to talk me into watching The Vampire Diaries for a year now. I have given her SO much crap about this show.
My argument has always been "Why would I want to watch a weekly installment of Twilight?" I have read the books and I will see the movies at least once.... So why do I need a TV show?"
Then after a year I am over at the Van Leeuwen's and they cant stop talking about this show, basically yelling at me for not giving it a chance and how the show is nothing like Twilight. So they pop in the first episode....
I have to admit I was wrong and hooked on this show! It's freaking amazing, it has so many turns that you never see coming, and its also a tad bit scary! But the number one reason to watch this show is for him

This is Ian Somerhalder, my newest crush! (can you blame me?) In the show is name is Damon and he is the "Bad Ass" vampire that always has a witty line to say.
I have finished the first season in a week and just bought the second season today, and couldn't be more excited! Yes I know that I am addicted and I couldn't care less. After I finish season two I will have three episodes to watch to be all caught up.
So here is the moral of the story: Watch The Vampire Diaries! You wont be disappointed.

Back To Reality

VEGAS
was truly amazing!
Our days consisted of sleeping, eating, shopping- and day of laying out.
Such a hard life!
And let me just say retail therapy so great
We couldn't get enough of Kate Spade, and Tory Burch!
I seem to like bows

And one day we went to Louis Vuitton and my mother some how got the manger to let us go watch the Bellagio water show on their private balcony.
Yes we are that cool.

The amazing view!
We got home late Wednesday night and the next day hit me hard! I had class from noon to seven, but before that I had to do all my homework that I put off all labor-day weekend.
That was a bit of a rough time. But my reward was having a dinner date with Mrs. Fielding!
Such a fun time and very much needed!

So that is my life as of late
But here is a little clip that I had to share because it is so funny!

Road Trip From Hell

So I usually don't blog when on vacation but I had to make an exception....
The road trip to Vegas got of to rocky start....  We didn’t leave till 3 pm because I was still packing and showering and running some last minute errands, seeing as this was a very sporadic trip. We decided to drive my dads car because it has satellite radio and a IPod hook up. When we started to reach the construction that is happening around the Provo area and a Semi-Truck got a little confused on where his lane was and were our lane was…. He almost sideswiped our car! (We were in the right) This is a little scary, my mother tried her best to not get us killed, and in the process she hit 3 just round construction cones, which did some damage to the left side bumper of the car. If you know my mother she did not take this lightly. She was swearing up a storm and drove even slower then usual. To say she was rattled by this experience is an understatement, but she refused to let Em or I drive. Around hour 3 the car check oil light came on. Seeing how we are girls and have no working knowledge of how to check or change oil. She got off the freeway in Cedar and thus started the adventure of the Madsen girls trying to check the oil. First we had to find the book- you would think it would be in the front compartment like every other car ever made but NO it was found in the trunk in a secret compartment- by the spar tire. To get to this we had to remove all the luggage, which as you know was more the 5 huge bags because we don’t travel light. After getting the book we found out how to pop the hood, where the dipstick is, and the oil compartment was located. Then we had to buy the “right” kind of oil, or risk burning up the engine. After we fought about that for a bit and calling my dad a trillion times, we put some oil in and were on our way. This little experience took forever! But then Em took the driver seat and we were cruising. During this time my mother requested we put in her “pod” (IPod) because she couldn’t “stand” our music any longer. After we gave her reasons why that would be a not great idea she deiced to her own music with headphones in. Which is a great solution, but as she is getting her stuff out she begins to ask these types of questions “How do I turn this on?” “Where do the headphones go in?” “How do you turn up the volume?” ect… this lead to me losing my cool and my mother crying because “it has been a very hard week for you, and I feel for you.” Ok so this melted my cold heart and made me feel super bad for losing my cool. We rolled into Vegas around 9ish and checked into the Palazzo, which is an amazing beautiful hotel and got some very much needed food and sleep.

We woke up today around noon and ordered room service. (What a hard life we lead.) Now we are all in much better moods and are off to start our retail therapy!

Curve Balls

As one of my Besties said, "Life throws you curve balls, and some people fear them. So much so that they see them as a "risk". A thing they can't control the out come of. So they just ditch the "risk" all together." (The wise words of Katherine.) Now we are not the type to fear these so called "risks". But this week I have been thrown a ton of curve balls with boys, school, friends ect. I am sick of curve balls!! I need a break, so what is the natural thing to do...Yes friends Em, mom, and I are packing up and.....

heading to VEGAS for some retail therapy. We leave tomorrow and I am ecstatic!

But before I started packing, I helped my little brother ask to his first dance....
We bought 100 cans of CRUSH soda and wrote....
"I would be CRUSHED if you don't go to the dance with me."
The picture is a tad bit dark, but it was so amazing! I couldn't be more obsessed!
What a lucky girl!
