Reasons we are besties!

As Elise previously mentioned, we got into a bit of a tiffy over her tardiness. I love her dearly and quickly got over it. The Howl was.... interesting. I think people in Logan just don't have a whole lot going on! My little sister dressed as a playboy bunny. Enough said. And forced me to wear a pleather ensemble. We had a great time after though, and didn't get home until 4:30 in the MORNING (both sets of parents were displeased).

In case many of you didn't know, last night was a historic evening. No, not Obama winning (that was a couple of nights ago), but it was Jerry Sloan's 1000th win with the Utah Jazz. AN NBA RECORD!!! Elise, Em and I had a total blast and ran into Warner and Fuzz at the game. However, the best part of the evening was the Kyle Korver autograph session. We waited over TWO hours to get a signature (I drove, so Elise and Emilee couldn't escape) and died laughing the whole time. Behind us in line was some girl who was near tears she was so excited.

Anywho, we are looking forward to more adventures! Let us know if you have any ideas!

Thanksgiving has feelings too!! 2

I forgot a pic of my awesome Halloween costume... enjoy haha
love ya all!

Thanksgiving has feelings too!!

Hey friends! So its been a bit, lets update. Shindig was freaking awesome. The decorations turned out really cute I loved the lights, and the wild flowers we put everywhere and the pumpkins are a perfect touch. The food was bomb, I was the most shocked cause i helped and it didn't turn out bad at all, everyone loved it. My date was Collin and I had so much fun, we danced every dance and he even helped clean up... Perfect date! The after activity was so much fun Collin, Casey, Nick and I went to the Sig house to play Karaoke. And no joke Nick, Collin, Casey and I were all really good which made it super fun hahaha!
So there of pictures of Casey and I with some friends for ChiO Halloween. Everyone had to dress up as a nursery rhyme all example all the pledges were sheep and the pledge trainer was little bow peep. So cute. So Shantel and Casey were Little Red Riding Hood and I was the Big Bad Wolf.... I know we are so cool!
Halloween was... well interesting :) So I lost track of time and so I was indeed 40 minutes late getting to the ChiO. And we I'm pretty sure I went 80 at lest of the freeway. Casey hates being late, she believes it is very rude, which is very true. But things happen and this was the first time in the history of Casey and mine friendship that we fought and we had silence in the car for like 30 or so minutes. It was so sad! But we got to Logan even though I missed the exit by 13 miles or so... So funny hahaha. and then we went to the howl and to be honest it wasn't as cool as we all thought it would be. But I honestly had the best costume ever! I was beach barbie (Shorts and a tank top = beach haha) And I had a pink barbie box around me! So we stayed for a bit and then we drove home and went and played at the Sig house till the early morning.
But now we have a fantastic Holiday coming up... and if you're thinking Christmas I will be angry, and call you my parents. Everyone just forgets Thanksgiving. People come on now! I just dont understand why people decorate there house and listen to christmas music before Thanksgiving is over. My parents are the worst at this, my dad listens to Christmas music the day after Halloween and the decorate the house like 2 weeks before Thanksgiving. Drives me crazy. So make sure to celebrate Thanksgiving (Hence my awesome back ground haha)
Well friends Im off to the blackout game... Go UTES!
XOXO

Oh Sweet Jesus.

So, right now Elise, Emilee and I are at my little sister's apartment in Logan. All I have to say, is now I understand why she is moving back home. Her puppy is running wild eating shoes and hairbrushes, while we wait for her to finish getting ready for the Howl. I love her very much. Today was an eventful one, as Elise was forty minutes late getting to the CHI-O, and we went 13 miles in the wrong direction... it was lovely.

<3 you, will report later.

Pumpkins... way harder to carve then they once where

So when you are a child, carving pumpkins is the what you look forward to just as much as getting free candy. Now when you are little your parents the get top off, and get all the guts out and they help you carve the hard an intricate parts... Now for a sorority dance (shin dig, which is this Friday) I have been put in charge of the decorations and for the outside, and inside of the chio and all the tables and plates and forks and things, and center pieces and don't go over the budget... which is very small for this kind of job.... But no worries I rock and it will be amazing. So I decided to carve Chi Omega SHIN DIG (but Chi Omega in Greek letters of course) I asked my mom if we could start this amazing adventure her at my house and she replied with a "Hell NO, well maybe outside.. in the cold hahah" She wasn't joking. So Lauren and I went and bought 10 huge pumpkins and printed out letters, that was the easy part. We even bought electric carvers.. Maybe the coolest thing about this adventure haha, Really every house hold should own at lest one... We went to her house to carve, We made her brother Jake get the tops off, cause we didn't really know how, and started to get all the stuff out of them... Then we started asking , who is the genius that invented this tradition? Who honestly looks at a pumpkin and thinks, I'm going to get all the stuff out of it and carve something in it? Its super gross and hard to get all the guts out, it really takes for ever to make them clean enough to put candles in them, and well Lauren didn't really care so she'd get a lot out and start carving, and em and I would go and re clean them after she was done... :) and after I did two pumpkins my arm was tired, so was Lauren, and Em was still cleaning out her first pumpkin, I think it was her plan to not have to do that many. It looked like we'd need some help, We called Andy Jones, who we owe a lot to! After he came over I took on a way hard letter.. G... This was not my smartest idea haha. I  wasn't really being careful, I was very into singing NSYNC songs and Britney Spears... I ended up breaking the shape and so i just looked like a giant whole. Angry doesn't even begin to describe how pissed I was, luckily Lauren and I bought an extra one for this very purpose. And super lucky that Andy is like a professional at carving hard things in pumpkins and he did the D,and G and drew the X and the Omega and carved most of them, he saved the day. We ended this pumpkin mania at 1:30 AM!!! I honestly can say I would not like to carve pumpkins anytime soon.
Well bloggers I'm off to help Lauren cook most the food we are eating tomorrow at the dance.
XOXO

Life.... And wisdom teeth haha

Hey friends! Its been a while since I have blogged, Let's update you all on my exciting life haha. Well I went to Paris for ten days. It was honestly one of the coolest places I have been in my life. I loved it there, by the end I was asking to move there. Mom was super ready to go home by the end of the ten days. She was only truly excited when she called my dad in Euro Disney. I have never seen her so happy, it was so cute. Anywho We saw everything there was to see because of are amazing driver... Tibo! This man put up with mom,em and me and just fit right in with our family. We saw him at lest once a day, it didn't even matter if he was driving us anywhere. I miss him haha. But honestly everywhere you look it was beautiful, and the museums where absolutely amazing.... Well then em and I started school, Im actually loving my classes and em is so lost cause its not as demanding as Waterford. Then Rush week came and thats when I lost my life. It took over life, but it was fun and different cause em decided to rush! Bid day was so much fun! Emilee is now a Chi Omega!! Can I get a hoot hoot? then as soon as life started to calm down, my sweet mom reminded me my wisdom teeth were coming out this friday. Now you know me, I hate surgery. But it happened yesterday and it went well, but no one told me how sore my mouth would be! But they told me to be relaxed which I have no problems with right now. hahaha love you all!
        -Xoxo, Elise

Chi Omega, yours forever...

Today is the big day! BID DAY!

I honestly couldn't sleep last night I was so excited. Yesterday Elise, Emilee, Nancee and I went to Five Guys for lunch and we couldn't stop laughing. I can't wait for Em to join us in the bonds of sisterhood! Everyday I've been getting more and more anxious. These cute Highland girls (Maria, Sam, and Kate) are going through recruitment and I hope beyond hope they will end up in Chi O. Other than that, I only know of a handful of other girls going through, but I am definitely getting good vibes about the Fall '08 pledge class. Elise and I talk every night about the girls we are obsessed with, and it's so sad because I can't be there to vote! But I trust Elise and my other girls to make the right decision.

Will update later....

XOXO,

Rush Week!

Hey Everybody!

If you are wondering where Elise is, she's been extremely busy with recruitment. For example, she called me at 12:30 last night and was just barely driving home. I don't exactly remember the conversation we had, because I think i was sleep-talking. This week has been seriously SO crazy. I miss my bestie and hate that we have to be apart.... but Thursday we shall be together again!!!

Also, many of you may not know this, but our dearest friend Beth left last Thursday to go to Ecuador to teach English to orphans. She's such a great person and we miss her very much. Now I have to find a backup date to Shindig!

Anywho, gotta go!

It's been a while......

So every time I look at this awesome blog I think “ Um….. I should really update this.” But Casey and I never sit down to write; yes I guess we are lazy. But thanks to my dear friend Amy, who told me “ She is SO sick of looking at the blog and seeing “Hello from the happiest place on earth” And I have to fix it hahaha, thank you Amy

Well lets fill you all in…. I got home from a fantastic California vacation, honestly two weeks in California is perfect. I got home and Casey left the next day for her 14-day safari in Africa! How crazy cool is that? Then my mom decided to tell me that she had scheduled my nose surgery for the next week and there is no way to get of it. (I had already gotten out of it 3 other times) As you can probably guess I didn’t take that very well. I hate the idea of surgery and being knocked out… ewww it still creeps me out. But I had to get it fixed cause it has been broken for so long, I cant remember the last time I actually got air from my nose hahaha. So for the last couple of weeks I have been recovering which was super fun for my family. The pain pills made me super loopy and I really don’t remember the first week after my surgery. I heard that I fainted twice and was very weird, but now I’m off the painkillers and back to my normal self and I can smell things, which is so crazy! But I love it.

Other then that it’s been kind of boring around here, but we have found great things to keep us busy….. The Office and anything that airs on bravo. Casey, Emilee, Lauren and I also have a newfound love for Spoon Me, now if you haven’t been to this fantastic frozen yogurt place you must go. All of us go once a day when we aren’t reading Breaking dawn the new twilight book. We finally have all finished it and by far it’s all are favorite book right now. For those of you that have read I you should call me cause I never get sick of talking about it!  Others do…. And while Casey left us to go boating with her family and Lauren is in California with her family (Love you Lauren) Emilee and I have found our callings in life… We are starting a band and we owe it all to ROCKBAND! Emilee is a natural born drummer and Billy is to great for his own good on the guitar and well I excel at the bass and Emilee and I switch off on being the singer. (Katie, I’m still in your band too J)  What can I say we are pretty damn good.

Well for now that’s my story, OH 1 more things…. Emilee, my mom, and I are heading to PARIS this Monday and get home the 21st. You could say that I was excited, but that would be a super big understatement. I can’t even believe we are going. Its going to be so cool, I have no idea how we are going to see everything we want to see in 10 days but you know us, we’ll make it work. And I will be bloging while I’m there (if I have an internet connection)

Casey gets home from her boating trip tomorrow and I will try and convince her to blog about her life, but we all know that you cant make Casey do anything she doesn’t want to, That’s why we love her.

Well I love you all and hope that everyone is living the last moments of summer to the fullest!

            XOXO
