finals... ahh really

So here is the deal, all my teachers decided that they would move there finals to the week before "finals week" in order to help the students study for their test and others. OK well that would have been super great until I realized that most my teachers decided to so this. So this last week was literally hell for me. Let me break it down for you.

-Monday: I had a power point presentation due on infant mortality = come on, really? Did it the night before because lets be honest I chose to block it... probably because it was such a depressing topic.

-Tuesday: I had a final group project, really.. I had the whole class singing "Old MacDonald" in a round.. the group and the teacher loved it. Started my 15 page paper.. and my computer crashed at the end of the night. To say I was not happy would be an understatement.

-Wednesday: I had to restart my 15 page paper and my Three 6 page papers... all due Friday

-Thursday: I worked on all my papers all day and then I realized that I would have to work though the night to finish. (And also work on my study guide for my final the net day. Lucky Kimiko was in my class and basically did it all. I owe her HUGE!) As I was working I was watching the royal wedding live through YouTube in my room when 3:30 am rolls around and my mother walks in my room with her nightgown on with her pillow and blanket in hand. I thought she was sleep walking, she then told me that we had to move to the theatre room to watch the royal wedding together because this was "history in the making." How could I fight with that! We watched the royal wedding, which was completely amazing. Kate looked so beautiful! And her and William looked so happy. Lets be honest,  I have royal wedding fever!

-Friday: I slept for a solid 5 hours and woke up to finish my papers and study for my final. All my papers were due at 4, and I had to turn in a hard copy so at 3:40 (because I lost track of time) I started for the U. While driving to the U I got pulled over going 70 in a 45. FML.... I didn't cry or anything I answered the cop honestly and told him my dilemma and the sweet soul just gave me a warning! I could not have been more excited! I got them in with a minute to spare and then went straight to take my final. I feel ok about it but who really knows at this point. I have one final to go and then spring semester will be done! I can't wait. After my huge week break I go back for summer school.... Not looking forward to it.

After I got thought those stressful days I got to go on a amazing fun date in Park City. We went to a lecture by Sir Kent Robinson, he was amazing and surprisingly funny. We had a blast!

-Saturday: I went to lunch with Vanessa, we chatted for 2 1/2 hours and then we went to sell back out books. Since I had never done this though my college career I had over 22 books to take back... I received $426 back. Yes that is really, in cash! I cant wait to go spend it...let be honest.

After the University we got a huge group and went and saw Fast Five. AMAZING! I want to see it again for real.

-Sunday: Katelyn moved in to the Madsen house hold for a few days! We couldn't be more excited to have her! We are all currently "studying" for our last finals and well we are just dancing around the kitchen singing Glee songs.. Shocked? You shouldn't be!

Well blog world school is why I haven't been around and been dead to all my friends. So sorry to all, but I have to get back to do some real studying. Talk to you soon!

Rain Rain Go Away!

Listen I usually am a huge fan of the rain. I'll admit it, I swear some of the best things happen in the rain. But really Weather, REALLY? Its April, I get it! April SHOWERS bring May flowers... Its supposed to be Spring! That means Sun, Warmth, Flowers, Short Sleeves... All I want to do is wear my new clothes (mostly from JCrew) because they are so cute and fun. I'm sick of winter... I'm not a big fan of it to start with but I mean come on Utah! Throw me a bone and give me some Spring! I would even be happy just wearing something like this right now....

But its to cold, because it is going to SNOW... Not great, not great!

Now that I have been just rude about the weather, here is a picture that should make you smile!

KINDLE

 So you will never guess what came this week... My new KINDLE! Now lets be honest I'm not a huge fan of reading. Well unless its an easy read like Confessions of a Shopaholic.. all those in that serious is so amazing! Or Harry Potter, Twilight, and now The Hunger Games! And ever since Casey and Katelyn had them on the cruise I fell in love! So when we got home Em and I were all about getting them. And they are finally here, I'm loving this! I even got a super stylish cover... 

It looks like a book, but its a Kindle! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!! 

Other then the Kindle I have been super excited about the new Disney movie that just came out, Tangled! Easily one of my new favorite movies. Its Disney, which I'm a fan of but its them like they were in the olden days. It's a classic! If you haven't seen it, get on it!

Welcome Back

Hello blog world, oh how I have missed you! But as you all know I was on a cruise with 6 of my best friends! Casey, Beth, Chewbs, Katelyn, Meg, Em. We have been counting down for this trip since day 70 ish... honestly it couldn't have come sooner, I had a raging case of spring fever! This trip was truly amazing, from the moment we started driving to our KLASSY stay at the Vagabond Inn to the ultimate freestyle cruse on the Norwegian Star. From the very first moment we arrived in all matching shirts the entire crew and people on the boat knew exactly who we were for many reasons.

1.) Right when we get on the boat Beth was in a dance off for a free massage, she pulled out the worm for the WIN! Congrats love

2.) Katelyn, Megs, Em, and I were involved in a college dance off... We won first round but lost to Oregon State in the end. I'm going to say its because we don't drink.

3.) We went to Karaoke every night and would sing as many songs as they would allow us to. The best is when Casey and Beth would just sign us up for random songs. Casey and I were always duet partners and we kicked trash!

4.) We went to dance parties every night and always requested "Bottoms up" anything with Bieber!

5.) Beth was always in "bed" by 10:30- AKA didn't care about the dance party, needed to catch up on sleep! or read)

6.) Everyone (except me.. I was a little late to jump on the band wagon) reading the "Hunger Games" But now I'm obsessed with it, just finished the first book out of three = AMAZING

7.) Eating everything in site.. and always down for fourth meal, which is chicken fingers and FRIES, and trying to find ice cream

8.) Laying out (I was a lobster! So burnt.. did that stop me from laying out, NO) Shopped, Inside jokes galore

9.) Nap time, never frowned upon! Some people gymed.. never OK in my book

10.) Got matching bracelets that say KLASSY.

11.) Bachelorette party- matching shirts and inappropriate gifts hahahaha

12.) LAUGHING ALWAYS

13.) Always quoting "Baby Mama" "She's The Man" "Anchorman" "Cinderella Story" "Mean Girls" "How To Lose A Guy In Ten Days"  "Hangover"

Yes, this is a ton of pics but I couldn't chose, I love them all and many more, Judge me!

I seem to believe that I am Wonder Woman.... Problem?

Superwoman can do anything, and everything! While looking good doing it! It doesn't matter how bad it looks at the time she can do it and even have time to spare. Now sometimes I believe that I am wonder woman. Heads up I know that I am not.... And here is why, Procrastination is always my down fall. (That's the only one haha)  I can always find something else "I need" to do first, example like last night: I "needed" to watch the new episode of Glee before I started my study guide for a test that was today. Now luckily I got it done and I took the test.... But this is only the beginning of the next two days of crap I have to deal with because I have put it off. Tonight I get to do another study guide and take the test tomorrow and then, yes you guessed it I get to do it all over again.  Yeah I'm super stoked about it. This is pretty much how I am feeling

Now you could be wondering why I am blogging instead of studying, but I'm in class right now, and the notes are online (I'll be fine, no worries!)




So after I get through all of these tests I will be on my way with some amazing besties on a CRUISE  to MEXICO! with only SUNNY SKIES and NO SCHOOL!

Now I have had a Red Bull before and honestly nothing has ever happened. It just taste... well not great! Beth, Landon and I were feeling a bit tired so the obvious answer was we had to hit up a red bull. Now Beth and I haven't had a one since way early last semester. Now that could have played a huge part in why this Red Bull hit me so fast and hard! 

I was so hyper it looked like I was instructing an 80's dance aerobics video! (so I hear) All I know is that i had a  Blast!

When we were leaving the dance party I was still going strong while Beth and Landon seemed to be crashing. Emilee and Katelyn couldn't stop laughing at me. So we ended up going to my house after the dance party to watch a movie, much to my dismay, because I had a HUGE craving to go bowling. Doesn't that just sound fun?

Anywho we put in Baby Mama (and if you haven't watched it in a while, you should get on that because it is so funny, I had forgotten just how funny) and that's when we all started to crash. This is also when I realized my whole body was in pain, all that dancing I did kicked my butt! Over all one top night!

On a side note I would like to thank Katelyn and Megs for helping me update my blog form because it was truly old! (I couldn't get it to insert fonts or colors, among other things even when I tried so hard)  Now my blog will get to be stylish like theirs! THANK YOU!!

I know all you blog stalkers out there who have been missing their "Elise" fix....
Here is all you need to know…. Last week went by so fast! Could have been that I was mostly daily dreaming all week or the fact that I saw three good movies which I feel everyone needs you to see-

1.) I Am Number Four- I thought this was going to be one of those bad movies you just have to love, but no! Not only did it have eye candy for the boys and girls, it also was fun to watch, and not to scary! I love number 6- if you have seen the movie you get what that means- If not you just need to know that this girl is the definition of BA! (Bad Ass)



2.) Never Say Never 3D- Yes I will tell the world, I loved this movie, not only was it just so fun to watch but the end was a sing along! That is correct… please imagine Vanessa, Em, Katelyn, and me, singing at the top of out lungs…. Yeah that is real! And ever since I have seen this movie, Bieber is the only music I have listened to… judge me! Or you could judge me because I know that his birthday was Monday, thank you twitter! 17 years young….. Oh gosh!





3.) Riding Giant? - Ok so after we had that huge snowstorm (which I have to say was super cruel of mother nature) I went on a surf night. We watched a surf documentary (which has Larid Hamilton in it, who is an AMAZING surfer- but I can’t remember the name of the movie so it might not be called riding giants) it was awesome! But it also reminded me how uncoordinated I am and how when I got up on the board and thought I was pretty amazing… I wasn’t, this is him on a BIG WAVE…




Yes I would say that I am as great as him! And to prove it here is a picture of me surfing.

Now that I have told you about these kickin movies I feel like I need to share this story with the world- Currently I am dog sitting, and hallucinating

3.) Emilee sleeping over… and bring me food… No dice- Dad and Emilee have both reassured me these things are never going to happen

And now the best story of my dog sitting career:
So I’m tending my sisters’ dogs, boomer and tucker, two cute little schnauzers. These guys are used to sleeping in the same bed as my sister and her hubby…. so that means when I dog sit they get to share a bed with me. (Lucky dogs) Now before I had ever done this I was thinking it would be nice to have them near and it would almost be like a cuddle session and well who doesn’t love a good old cuddle fest? Well little did I know it would not be like that, it must take some getting used to. So every night we all get into bed and I have to be sure to wake up at 8 to let them out. Well yesterday morning I woke up to boomer sounding like he was hacking up a lung, and it looked like he was throwing up… So I go into red alert mode and jump out of bed grab boomer and tucker and rush down stairs to let them out. My adrenalin still pumping I rush to get a paper towel in order to clean up the throw up on my bed. I get up to the bed and start searching for it and there is nothing there.
So this leads me to believe that I have hallucinated…. Not great- must be brain damage from not getting enough b-12. (Yes that is a real fact, you need the vitamin b-12, and if you never have it that could lead to brain damage)

I wish that story was a joke but no this is real life for me. During this lovely week, school has decided to kick into gear and throw all these test and papers at me, out of nowhere! I feel like this-



And on top of all that it doesn’t help that I feel like my mind has checked out on me and is already on Spring Break- Which (not to make you jealous) I am going on a cruse to MEXICO- I have never been to Mexico, and I feel like it’s a bit sketchy, But who better to go with then all my close friends! This crew is pretty BA: Casey, Beth, Chewbs, Katelyn, Emilee, Megan, and me! We will have the time of our lives and I honestly cant wait!



Now I am currently watching Friday Night Lights with Emilee as we are eating some pretty awesome cookies from Over the top…. Look it up because it is so good! Oh what a beautiful Thursday!!
