So what.. I'm not ashamed to say that I have seen Bridesmaids 4 times, yes that is real. And I believe that I laugh harder every time I see it! And I am going to say one of the main reasons I love this movie is because I have a girl crush on Kirsten Wiig. I freaking adore her! And strongly believe that if we were ever to meet and talk we would become instant besties! She is beautiful, SO funny, and smart! She freaking wrote Bridesmaids and she created Gilly andmany other characters on Saturday Night Live.
Come on how can you not love her?
As long as I am telling you who else I adore, and would love to meet.....
Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway
Rachel Bilson
Rachel Mcadams
Leighton Meester
Cameron Diaz (Charlie Angles Version) (And Bad Teacher.... I guessing haha)
Jennifer Aniston
Natalie Portman
Reese Witherspoon
Sandra Bullock
Mila Kunis
And of course Audrey Hepburn
Yes that looks like a lot of people, but I love different things about each of these women and think they are all beautiful, talented, funny... and a ton of other things!
Man dime- Have you ever heard of a girl who is a "dime"? If you haven't no need to fret its what I believe to be a Hollywood/rapper thing. It means that girl is a perfect ten. So after watching an episode of fantasy factory (on MTV, about the skater Rob Dyrdek. So FUNNY) Anywho he came up with the term Man dime, for as you guessed it a guy who is a perfect ten.
So I have been dating a boy for about two months and Katelyn and I decided his nickname should be Man Dime, or A... I'm still thinking about it.
MD or A has taken me on some of the most creative dates ever. One night we went to a cooking class (all about chocolate), which was amazing, cause who doesn't like chocolate? One night we went to a Lecture in Park City (we almost died going up the canyon in a HUGE snow storm... but he saved us like a champ.) One night we went and had dinner and Bambara restaurant in hotel Monaco (delicious) and then the Bees games. We always catch the end of the games and then watch the fire works, which is the best way to see a bee’s game I think. We went to the Tulip festival (which I had no idea existed and they are one of my favorite flowers.) And ran into this family that when around singing The Sound of Music songs in full costume, not because they were getting paid to do so, because the mom wanted to so it. So of course we got a picture with this family.
We had to have a cheesy photo!
The Sound of Music family.
Sweet souls
Then after we walked around there for a while we hit up an art exhibit in Provo. Then had dinner at this super nice Sundance place. All of these dates were truly creative and amazing! But this last Friday was the ultimate.
He picked me up at 6:45 and only told me to bring a jacket. He wouldn't tell me anything else. We started driving and ended up somewhere in North Salt Lake. He was trying to find some place that was a little tricky to find, as the time neared 7:30 he began to get a little panicked that we weren't at the place yet. I assured him that even if we were late to our dinner reservations they would still seat us. He just looked at me and said would you mind typing in the address on your phone. I did and we were only 2 streets way, which made no sense because there was nothing really around. As we pulled up to some random building he asked if I brought my camera, which of course is always a yes, then he was super excited. As we got out of the car a man met us and pointed right in front of him and said, "This is the helicopter you will be going on." Um... WHAT?? I'm sorry I didn't know I was on the Bachelor. I was floored! I couldn't believe it.... I had never been in a helicopter and always wanted to. We signed some wavers and then were on our way. We flew over Bountiful and Downtown Salt Lake. This being the only night it didn't rain that week.... it was truly spectacular. The pilots name was Bill and his headset was the only one that seemed to work. Which if I had the choice of mine working and not his, I would choose his. So A and I were communicating with a lot of pointing. I had a perma-smile the whole time, and soaked in every minute. When we landed I had taken about 50 photos and wanted more time in the helicopter. To say I loved it would be an understatement.
Bachelor style!
Just about to take off.. So excited!
The U.... Where I will be spending most of my summer
Sunset
A and me
Then we headed to dinner at Rio Grand, which was my first time there, and since Mexican is my favorite food there was no way to go wrong there. After a delightful dinner we went and met up with a big group to go see the new pirates movie. I was pretty good but A feel asleep in it; poor thing was just so tired! Anywho after the movie we went and stopped at 7/11 to get Slurpee's... best idea ever. Then we headed to his house so I could help him pack for his internship. He will be gone for 3 months and living in Harlem (NYC) working with CNBC for the show calledMad Money. He had all this stuff he was taking laid out on his bed... this is when I started to panic. He only was taking like 8 dress shirts 4 pairs of pants ect... really 3 months and that is it? So I immediately started grabbing more clothes for him to take. Then he brought in his "suit case" it was a "I'm going to tour Europe for 3 weeks back pack." I'm sure my face was priceless as I kept asking if he was joking.... He was not. Good thing he had me there lets be honest, I ended up getting him to take a duffel bag also... I got home around 4 am. His flight left at 8 that morning, yet again no sleep for A. And I had to be up and be at the beautiful home of the Welch’s at 9:30 AM for Beths Bridal Shower! Which I was on time for and gave Beth the best gift ever.... I got her some garments hahaha needless to say she loved them! And I had never laughed so hard!
Anywho this is my life as of late. Other then summer school (and that is a joy) I’m living the dream. I just bought tickets for the crew to see The Hangover Part 2 tomorrow at 12:01am! SO excited!!! Blog more soon, Love you all!
Nothing in the pass 24 hrs has gone to plan. But what sent me overboard was this:
I was at a gas station getting rid of everyone's trash that was in the car. As I'm navigating my way to the trash I step in what I thought was gum. Really? These are my new Nikes, and I freaking love them, also this is the 2nd time I have ever wore them. Not happy I tell Nancee about this and ask what I can do. I don't know what I thought she would say... Maybe "oh don't worry, I'm sure we can get it off" she instead replied with "Well you should watch were you are walking!" Oh ok thanks mom, I'll try that.
On further inspection with ice and a plastic fork I have come to the conclusion that it isn't gum... I stepped in tar. After 15 minutes of working on it, it looks as good as it ever will and it now makes a stupid sticky noise when I walk.
Perfect!
To add to these past 24 hrs I start summer school tomorrow...
Can't wait.
I'll I want to do is lay in my comfy bed and read Tina Feys new book in sweats. Judge me.
I am done with Spring semester! To say I am happy about it would be an understatement. I am THRILLED!!! I now get a week and a half off until the start of dreaded summer school begins. So for this week and a half I will be living it up! One week will be spent in Cali, which I have been having withdraws from for months.
AHHH SUMMER!
I'll be the first to admit that "Summer Elise" is way cooler that "Winter Elise". In the winter I tend to go into hibernation, it’s just something the bears and I have in common. But the summer is a whole different ball game! I love going to sporting events, swimming, trying to play tennis, late night drives with the top down or the sunroof open (almost the same), drive in movies, boating, and the clothes! AHHH I love shorts, sundresses, flip-flops, and sunglasses! Over all I am just a happier person in the summer, but who isn't.... really? So bring on the sunshine and let summer begin!
Also on a different note I found this cover of Sleazy that is originally done by Ke$ha, by Ben folds. And a new group who I can get enough of. Called Foster the People. Enjoy!
So here is the deal, all my teachers decided that they would move there finals to the week before "finals week" in order to help the students study for their test and others. OK well that would have been super great until I realized that most my teachers decided to so this. So this last week was literally hell for me. Let me break it down for you.
-Monday: I had a power point presentation due on infant mortality = come on, really? Did it the night before because lets be honest I chose to block it... probably because it was such a depressing topic.
-Tuesday: I had a final group project, really.. I had the whole class singing "Old MacDonald" in a round.. the group and the teacher loved it. Started my 15 page paper.. and my computer crashed at the end of the night. To say I was not happy would be an understatement.
-Wednesday: I had to restart my 15 page paper and my Three 6 page papers... all due Friday
-Thursday: I worked on all my papers all day and then I realized that I would have to work though the night to finish. (And also work on my study guide for my final the net day. Lucky Kimiko was in my class and basically did it all. I owe her HUGE!) As I was working I was watching the royal wedding live through YouTube in my room when 3:30 am rolls around and my mother walks in my room with her nightgown on with her pillow and blanket in hand. I thought she was sleep walking, she then told me that we had to move to the theatre room to watch the royal wedding together because this was "history in the making." How could I fight with that! We watched the royal wedding, which was completely amazing. Kate looked so beautiful! And her and William looked so happy. Lets be honest, I have royal wedding fever!
-Friday: I slept for a solid 5 hours and woke up to finish my papers and study for my final. All my papers were due at 4, and I had to turn in a hard copy so at 3:40 (because I lost track of time) I started for the U. While driving to the U I got pulled over going 70 in a 45. FML.... I didn't cry or anything I answered the cop honestly and told him my dilemma and the sweet soul just gave me a warning! I could not have been more excited! I got them in with a minute to spare and then went straight to take my final. I feel ok about it but who really knows at this point. I have one final to go and then spring semester will be done! I can't wait. After my huge week break I go back for summer school.... Not looking forward to it.
After I got thought those stressful days I got to go on a amazing fun date in Park City. We went to a lecture by Sir Kent Robinson, he was amazing and surprisingly funny. We had a blast!
-Saturday: I went to lunch with Vanessa, we chatted for 2 1/2 hours and then we went to sell back out books. Since I had never done this though my college career I had over 22 books to take back... I received $426 back. Yes that is really, in cash! I cant wait to go spend it...let be honest.
After the University we got a huge group and went and saw Fast Five. AMAZING! I want to see it again for real.
-Sunday: Katelyn moved in to the Madsen house hold for a few days! We couldn't be more excited to have her! We are all currently "studying" for our last finals and well we are just dancing around the kitchen singing Glee songs.. Shocked? You shouldn't be!
Well blog world school is why I haven't been around and been dead to all my friends. So sorry to all, but I have to get back to do some real studying. Talk to you soon!
Oh and P.S. Think Spring thoughts and maybe Spring will finally show up in Utah!
